Sponsor An Event In The Classroom
It is important that we share our military history (the good and the bad) with our children so that we can continue to grow and prosper as a country and that each of our new generations know and understand how they came to have the freedom that they enjoy everyday. Please choose any kind of activity that you are comfortable with and share it with your classroom or your children. SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH US WHETHER WITH PICTURES OR STORIES!!!
Veterans Day is a day of remembrance, a day to honor the men and women who have fought to preserve our freedom. Education World celebrates this special holiday with activities, music, and Web-based ideas to help the children in your classroom understand Veterans Day’s significance. Here is one of their lesson plans for Veteran’s Day:
- Remembering Those Who Gave Their Lives: Lessons for Memorial and Veterans Days
